Today I’m excited to share this Easy Crock Pot Steak Fajita recipe with you because it’s yummy AND easy! For those of you who are watching your carbs, it will also work for you. And if you’re not a beef fan – no worries – just use chicken breasts instead.
So let’s get started!
Easy Crock Pot Steak Fajitas
Gather up all of your ingredients. You’ll need some steaks (any variety will do – that’s the glory of a slow cooker!), a couple peppers, onions, and your seasonings. You could add yellow and red peppers, or even mushrooms into your fajitas. Decide what your group likes and go from there.

Easy Slow Cooker Fajitas

Place your steaks in the bottom of your crock pot. No need to cut them up or anything, just put them there. Then add your chopped up veggies on top.

Next you want to add your seasonings. I added about 1/4 cup of water to a glass, dumped in the fajita seasoning, and then added a couple dashes each of the seasonings you see below. It’s your call how you season yours. (And honestly, it’ll still taste amazing if the only thing you put in is the fajita seasoning.)

Mix your seasonings and water together.

Slowly dump the seasonings over the veggies and meat. Cover. Cook!

If the meat is frozen, you can cook it on low for 8-10 hours. If it’s thawed out 6-8 hours on low is fine. If you need to speed things up a bit, cook it on high for 4-6 hours.

I can honestly say that I normally start my crock pot at 7 in the morning and don’t return to it until about 5. In nearly ten years of adult life, there’s only one recipe that has ever burned on me. So I don’t get too worried about crock pot times. Just let your delicious fajitas slowly simmer the day away.

Hours later, you’ll come back to your house smelling amazing and this sight!

At this point, take two forks and shred the meat. It’s going to fall apart quite easily, so this entire process might take you five minutes. You can let everything go back to simmering for a little bit, or you can eat right now. It’s all ready for you!

Eat your fajita meat over a bed of lettuce or wrapped up in a tortilla shell. It’s entirely your call. I like cheese and salsa with my, the hubs also adds sour cream, but I’m sure others have even more toppings they like to add. That’s the joy of this dish – you can enjoy it so many different ways!

Here’s a printable recipe for those of you who like to have everything in one place. They fajitas are seriously some of the easiest things to make. Whip it together the night before, start the slow cooker the next morning, and call it good! Whether you use beef, chicken, or pork – it’s sure to become a family favorite. And you won’t mind making it because it’s so easy!

This looks awesome, Heather! I'm allergic to sulfur (including onions), so I'm thinking I could substitute turnip slices instead. Thank you for sharing! Pinned!
