When I saw this post from Laughing Kids Learn, I knew I had to try it out with little J! At roughly five months of age, I thought this would be the perfect activity for him – and it was!

Balloon Fun for Babies

The first day I bought the balloon, he spent over 30 minutes playing with it when I first got it out! He’s never spent that long interested in a single thing – EVER! It was crazy and fun all at the same time!

Definitely make sure you are around the entire time. Our little guy kept trying to put the string in his mouth. A quick redirection and he’d go back to the balloon in no time without a fuss.

That look of joy on his face above pretty much sums up the entire experience! I LOVE IT!

The only thing I wish I would have done differently is to have tried this at about three months old. Baby J was already rolling and relatively mobile by five months, so sometimes he would roll over and then get upset because he couldn’t see the balloon. Obviously it was an easy fix, but I’ll definitely try this sooner in the future. (Partially because I can then selfishly enjoy this activity for a longer time frame!)

This balloon was worth every penny! While Baby J got over an hour of joy out of it on Day 1, he was still playing with it a week later when I finally threw it away. Here’s a little video of him playing with it in his high chair on Day 2. So cute! {But of course I know I’m biased!}

If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your baby - try this out! The look of joy on your young one's face will be worth the expense of the balloon. Just make sure you keep your baby supervised 100% of the time.
